About Us
Lake Denton Camp is a ministry of Lake Denton Management, Inc. LDMI is a group of men and women committed to sharing the gospel and touching lives through God's love.
History
The camp was donated to the Orange Blossom Baptist Association in various sections over the 1940's and has remained a camp/retreat center since that time. Through the years the camp has seen thousands of different campers and many different changes. Back in the day the camp had screen hatch windows, small bathrooms, no air conditioning, and many little creatures who would come and visit.
In the 1990's the camp added air conditioning units to all of the cabins and a girls bathroom with 6 showers and 6 stalls. Glass windows were added to all of the cabins.
In 2004, Lake Denton Management, Inc. took over the camp facilities and has since then added a basketball court, a central air unit to the chapel, remodeled the Coker house, added a 100 ft slip'n'slide, and is continuing to add and improve the facilities for all those who come.
Our recent projects have been building a new bathroom to replace the boys' bathroom, and giving the main building a new face lift by tiling the side rooms, changing the bathrooms, replacing the windows, and repainting. All of this has been possible because of those who faithfully donate their time, their prayers, and have financially supported our many different projects. A special thanks goes to the Tennessee Campers on Mission who have come every year to help make all of these changes possible.
